GOL First Flight - 2Ku Now on Over 15 Planes on 4 Different Airlines
Brazil’s GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes, Brazil’s largest air transportation group, has become the first airline in South America to offer in-flight internet on board. Using Gogo's (ThinAir Falcon-Ku3030 based) 2Ku, the service will be free for six months. It is expected that the entire fleet will be equipped with entertainment and connectivity systems, as well as recharge or USB sockets.
With this first flight, there are now "over 15 aircraft around the world outfitted with 2Ku, including AeroMexico, Delta and Virgin Atlantic. By the end of 2016, that number will be over 75, with an additional 350 in 2017."
