Delta Wins Best Wi-Fi in APEX Passenger Choice Awards
Congratulations to Delta for being chosen by passengers for the best inflight Wi-Fi and winning this prestigious APEX award. Flying with Gogo's 2Ku service, powered by ThinKom's phased-array antennas, Delta was chosen among a global field of nearly 600 airlines. Below are excerpts from a Get Connected article announcing the win.
Using a five-star scale, more than one million flights were rated by passengers across nearly 600 airlines from around the world between 1 July 2018 and 30 June 2019. In the category of best airline WiFi, Delta Air Lines scooped the award.
Delta has partnered with Gogo for inflight connectivity since 2014, and since 2017 has offered free mobile messaging to all passengers. Earlier this year, the carrier began testing its ability to offer high speed Gogo 2Ku connectivity for free, undertaking a two-week trial with a view to rolling out free WiFi in the future.
